T. David Marshall
David Marshall comes from a well-known Hamilton legal family, holds two Bachelors of Arts degrees, a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Laws degree. He has over a decade of experience in the daily practice of the law, and has appeared before various levels of court in Ontario, and before various Tribunals across the province.
Areas of Practice
David’s practice centers around Defamation law (slander and libel), Estate Litigation, and advising and representing various municipalities in Southern Ontario, including in litigation matters before the LPAT (Local Planning Appeal Tribunal).
David also has significant experience in the area of administrative law; he advises the Toronto Local Appeal Body (TLAB), and was integral in the participatory undertaking to craft its innovative Rules of Practice and Procedure, and in advising and recommending the 2019 revisions thereto.
David has further significant experience with respect to complex telecommunications litigation, including disputes over Municipal Access Agreements and appeals to the CRTC on behalf of Municipal clients.
